Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, is where Europe and the Balkans meet in a historical, cultural and gastronomic sense. Counting nearly 2 million inhabitants, Belgrade is an ever-busy city with a lot to see and do. It is also “the New York of the Balkans” since this city never seems to sleep either.
We planned a day-time route for you, to show you all the must-see places and introduce you to the city. This way you will learn about the history and culture of the city from a local guide, you will be able to navigate within the urban environment, and if you want to enjoy the Belgrade nightlife, find out where and what to do after the tour.
The tour starts in the Kalemegdan park and fortress with the most beautiful views. After learning the historical significance of the fortress and how Belgrade emerged from this point, you will set out on a date with the city, walking down Knez Mihailova Street, passing by the National Assembly, National Theatre, National Museum, Congregational Church, Patriarch Palace, Residence of Princess Ljubica, the Old and the New Palace, and we finish our tour at the monumental Saint Sava Cathedral.
